Reactions To Video Of Benue Girl Being Flogged For Posting Her Nude Photos On Instagram

A video has been posted on Twitter of a young Muslim girl who is being mercilessly flogged by a group of men for allegedly posting a nude picture on Instagram.

The victim who was said to have posted the nude picture is said to have deleted it immediately she posted it social media. From the look of things, the young girl was being flogged by an older male relative as she was heard screaming in the video amid tears "Brother please". 

It is suggested that one of the reason she is getting so bitterly flogged is because the tenets of her religion as a Muslim do not support her exposing her body in that manner.

The video was shared online by one Twitter user with the username @oyimzy. According to him "I just came across this shocking video of this lady being beaten and tortured. Apparently she's been beaten for uploading an IG nude video and also suspected of lesbianism. Her IG is minky meena. This is the 21st century for God's sake, these bastards needs to be jailed!!!"

According to the tweet, the girl was being punished for posting a nude picture on Instagram as well as for allegedly being a lesbian. 

While the poster was of the opinion that the persons involved in flogging the young girl should be arrested and prosecuted, others who commented on the video expressed satisfaction that the girl was punished for sharing her nude pictures. According to one commenter who was in support of the decision to punish the girl, "Please stop defending things you don’t know about,from the look of things the lady is a Muslim and according to the religion something like that is not tolerated. Just imagine this your sister, will you say your family members should be jailed?"

Is it right for them to flog the girl this way?
