Corona effect on tertiary institute

The global pandemic and the new way of life

The corona virus has been a global concern to the nation with new case every day,which caused the stay at home lifestyle and social distancing method adopted to prevent the increase of new cases.

The covid 19 has affected the educational system in nigeria having school children for three months at home hoping to resume week after week,some higher institute adopted the use of social media to engage the student while some are totally hoping to join the new system of education despite the cost and inconvenience.

Can online lecture be the Solution?

 My point of view

Financial aspect.

Not every one can afford to get an android phone during this period when the rich and the poor are grounded,not even expecting fully paid salary,while some are just at home because of the nature of their occupation.

  Not every student will like to sit down for hours listening to a recorded audio not comfortable.

  Learning online inchures data and other needs for instance electricity and so on,

There is need for a strategy that would Favour all the student not all.
